Our 6 Favorite Things About Compassionate Counseling St. Louis and Why We Think You’ll Love Us Too!

We’re celebrating 6 years of therapy for anxious kids, stressed teens, perfectionist college students, and overwhelmed parents!

This month we’re celebrating our 6th birthday at Compassionate Counseling St. Louis!

As a highly specialized private practice with a small and dedicated team, we have the ability to truly get to know each and every client and tailor therapy to meet each client’s needs.

There are a lot of benefits to being a small, collaborative practice, and want to share our favorite things about it with you!

1. We bring the best care possible to our clients.

Molly says “My favorite thing about CCSTL is our team and the collaboration we utilize to bring the best care possible to our clients. Everyone here is very dedicated to our goals and we all support one another and offer creative and helpful feedback to ensure we are providing optimal services to our clients and families.”

2. We’re a safe place to process and develop coping skills.

Erin says “The thing I love most about Compassionate Counseling St. Louis is its specific focus on anxiety and anxiety-induced anger for kids and teens.  I feel that kids struggle with SO many stressors these days (violence in schools, the pandemic, social media, etc), and having a safe place to process and develop coping skills for this stress is absolutely critical right now.  I'm so happy that I can play a small role in helping kids feel safe and understood as they build these skills.”

3. We partner with parents to help their children and teens work through anxiety struggles.

Susie says “At CCSTL, we work hard to meet children and families where they are and prioritize partnering with parents to help their children and teens work through anxiety struggles.  We recognize that every individual is part of a larger system and that to work towards lasting change, we must work not just with children but with those who love and care for them.”

4. We use feedback informed treatment to make sure we’re tailoring our approach to each and every client.

Kelsey says one of her favorite things about CCSTL is that she can dedicate herself to “a small caseload, provide intensive treatment over a long enough period of time, and track outcomes to make sure things were actually improving.”

5. Team members have different clinical backgrounds, allowing us to provide CBT in St. Louis along with art therapy interventions, TF-CBT, and ACT.

Kelsey also says that she has another favorite thing about CCSTL: “I love having different team members with different clinical backgrounds than my own. When we get together for our monthly team meetings, it’s great to hear different perspectives and to learn about clinical tools beyond my own skillset.”

6. We take the time to make sure we find the best possible counseling fit for what’s going on.

Emily is our intake coordinator. “As the first person at Compassionate Counseling St. Louis that you’ll talk to, my favorite thing about us is the emphasis we place on meeting each individual client’s needs and finding the best therapist to pair them with. I love having confidence that when I help you book an appointment, I know that you’ll be seeing a great child therapist, and that there will be solid parent communication as well!”
