 Time to Schedule!

What happens next?
After our consultation, we’ll match you with a therapist based on age, clinical needs, and schedule.

Therapy sessions take place once a week, and we work closely with parents and caregivers to make sure progress happens not just in session, but at home and at school too.

Helpful information:

  • Did you know you may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of your session fee? While we are an Out of Network therapy practice and don’t directly accept insurance, we’ve created a free guide to help you navigate how to get your insurance to reimburse you for part of our fee, which is $205 for a 45-minute session.

  • At Compassionate Counseling St. Louis, we pride ourselves on offering specialized, evidence-based therapy that’s tailored to your child’s unique needs. Whether you or your child is facing anxiety, anxiety-driven anger, trauma, or other challenges, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

  • We understand that fitting therapy sessions into busy school schedules can be tough. That’s why we offer flexible options that allow your child to get the support they need without missing out on school.

    • Many schools offer a space for virtual therapy: We make it easy for your child or teen to access therapy during the school day. With our flexible scheduling, we can offer appointments throughout the day and are happy to adjust start times to fit your child’s school schedule. Whether it’s on the hour or half-hour, we’ll work together to find a time that works best, whether for in-person or virtual sessions through our HIPAA-compliant platform.

    • For teens with a study hall or free period, therapy can fit right into their day, and for those who drive, we can even work around commute times. If you think we might need to adjust our schedule slightly for drive time, let us know during your intake call, and we’ll figure out the best options for you.

    • Teacher support: You might be surprised to know that many teachers are supportive of counseling and willing to be flexible when it comes to your child’s therapy sessions. They understand how important mental health is, and often, they’ll help accommodate therapy appointments. With your permission, we can even consult with your child’s teacher to provide additional support and ensure we’re all on the same page.
